NFL Week Five Preview:
By Matt Magill
Game of the Week:
Atlanta at Denver – Sunday at 4. The unstoppable force vs. the immovable object. Can the high-powered Falcons offense stand up to one of the best defenses in the NFL? If nothing else, it should entertaining to see Matt Ryan eating turf for four quarters.
Time to do Yardwork Game of the Week:
New England at Cleveland – Sunday at 1. This game will be over by the end of the first quarter.
Storylines for the Week:
Can Philly, fresh of their bye week, continue to pound inferior teams into submission?
The early line for the Patriots/Browns was New England -10 (it very well could have skyrocketed by now). Is it a moral defeat if the Patriots only win by ten points?
Much like Philadelphia, Dallas has feasted on inferior competition so far this season. What happens when an actual competent team in Cincinnati comes to town?
It looks like Pittsburgh is gearing up to roll through the league, and it looks like the Jets are gearing up to lay down and take a nap. Who follows suit this week?
The Giants defense was supposed to be much improved this year (and it initially looked like it was), but after laying an egg against the Vikings last week, what chance do they have against the Packers?
How will San Diego give the game away this week?
Will Cam play? If he doesn’t what chance do the defending NFC champs have, even against the lowly Bucs?
Which Arizona team shows up this week?
If you’re Brock Osweiller, how badly do you want to just stay in bed on Sunday instead of playing the Vikings?
Are we officially at the point in the season where Chuck Pagano getting fired is just a foregone conclusion?
How the Hell are the Rams and Jeff Fisher sitting atop the NFC West?
How long will Buffalo’s resurgence last?
Of the 3-0 teams, who is the pretender?
Of the 0-3 teams, who is capable of pulling out of the hole?
I think we know the answer to this one, no, no they are not.
